Alimera Sciences is a dynamic and progressive company founded in June 2003 to address the needs of the un-served and underserved areas of the growing eye care market. Alimera Sciences' expertise is focused on ophthalmic (medical) eye conditions which can be treated with prescription pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter ("OTC") medications, and other eye care treatments. Alimera Sciences currently has a portfolio of six promising programs with intentions of introducing their first product in late 2004.
